Eric Baroni: CEO

Current position :

Eric Baroni, CEO and partner at Multios, I'm mainly in charge of :

- Software development department
- Analysis of customer needs
- Computerization of management processes

Experience and training :

Throughout my career, which began in 1983, I have always oscillated between the worlds of industry and management.

Born in Louvain, I've always been involved in the Centre's industrial sector. I first held various positions in the production and administrative departments of the region's main structures, such as maintenance, production supervision, purchasing management, executive management, etc.

An IPCF tax accountant, I ran my own accounting and tax fiduciary from 1988 to 1995. I have also been a consultant approved by the Walloon Region for general diagnosis and financial, commercial and managerial policy.

Further training in banking techniques enabled me to work with financial institutions such as Crédit Communal and Crédit Lyonnais as a travelling manager.

Fascinated by early environmental thinking, I took part as a company manager in the creation of Water Protection and Care. The project was mainly concerned with the design and production of electrotechnical equipment. The aim was to enable continuous filtration of hydrocarbon-laden industrial water (Ultrafiltration). Supported by Compagnie Générales des Eaux, this project gave me the opportunity to work in industry in France, Italy and Japan. My time at Veolia - OTV, as Business Development Manager, enabled me to strengthen my skills in managing large-scale projects.

Experience and training :

I then returned to the common thread of my early years. My aim was to design and digitalize the accounting, technical and financial management needs of companies.

After training in analysis and programming, the faint idea of developing a software package to enable verbal intercommunication between different departments materialized in the DareWin project. The almost obsessive idea was to develop the missing links between the different departments: Technology/Resource Management/Human Resources.

When I held the position of CEO and partner at Multios, I had the chance to develop specific, scalable business software that was well received by target companies such as: T-Service, Solénys, Factéris, ... IT, particularly programming, is a field in which I can reconcile the skills acquired in my various careers: my creativity and my goals of optimizing and advising companies.

Special skills :

My diversified training and experience enable me to converse easily in matters of cutting-edge technology. These financial and accounting aspects make me a generalist.

More nice professional recognition :

I was called in by a union delegation leader to help turn around an industrial maintenance company. A company with high added value in terms of technical personnel. After lengthy negotiations with public and private bodies, the company was taken over by a Belgian group and is still in business today. It's certainly the best professional recognition I've received in my career.

What I like best about my job :

Analysis of customer needs and algorithmic dematerialization make work easier.

Career aspirations :

Continue to share my experience and 'knowledge' with my work colleagues.

Awards :

Officer of Merit for Invention and Innovation for ultrafiltration project

Passions/leisures :

- As an amateur painter, I love it when colors reveal the unconscious.
- As an amateur carpenter and cabinet-maker, the design and construction of oak staircases, geometrically and symbolically designed to enable everyone to climb the ladder, was a real challenge.
