Maxime Vander Goten: IT Developer

Current position :

Maxime Vander Goten, IT Developer at Multios I'm mainly in charge of :

- Maintaining existing solutions
- Development of internal and external interface APIs
- Developing and participating in new projects

Experience and training :

Passionate about the world of IT since I was a teenager, it was in 2018 that I switched to a bachelor's degree in telecommunications and networks, development option. During these 3 years, I was able to acquire a solid grounding in networking, while learning to code websites and applications.

At the end of my studies, I had the opportunity to do my end-of-year internship at Multios. I was able to participate in the development of a mobile application, as well as API modifications. Joining a team and taking part in concrete projects was a very enriching experience.

On graduating in 2021, I began my career at Click as a technical project manager. My main role was to support project leaders, often motivated by an entrepreneurial desire, to create artistic projects that included technical aspects.

I've also worked on projects involving eye tracking, augmented reality, virtual reality, IOT, some AI, as well as aspects of web development.

I particularly enjoyed the communication aspect of my job at Click. In my line of work, it's quite rare to be in regular contact with customers. In fact, it's this aspect that has enabled me to emancipate myself in a number of ways.

In particular, I was able to help edit self-portraits. It's an artistic experience, combining technologies such as eye tracking, which we had to divert, notably by working on different types of memory.

In self-portrait I could :

- Analyze the possibility of integrating eye tracking. The aim was to track "memories" in a circle 70 cm in diameter.
- Analyze and understand whether it is possible to create a projection of defined dimensions, with a 4k projector that must be in portrait (hence self portrait).
- Help design the project's scenography, including the various elements while protecting them from theft and destruction.

This wonderful adventure came to an end in August 2023, to make way for new challenges at Multios in October 2023 as IT Developer.

I'll be responsible for maintaining existing solutions, developing APIs for internal and external interfaces and, of course, participating in new projects. Varied, outward-looking and innovative challenges!

- I'm a stickler: I don't give up in the face of difficulty.

Best professional recognition :

My first professional recognition certainly came at the end of my internship at Multios, when I was congratulated on the work I'd done during those 3 months.

Then, at the closing of my work at Click. I was thanked for the work I'd done, and in particular for my support and investment in Self-portrait.
