The place of women in the STEM sector.

Our commitments, the reality on the ground and our outlook

What does International Women in Science and IT Day actually mean?

Every year, February 11 takes on special significance as International Day of Women and Girls in Science. An initiative proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly on December 22, 2015. This resolution, A/RES/ 70/212 (1), symbolizes a global commitment to gender equality in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.

Led byUNESCO and UN Women, This day brings together institutions and civil society partners with a clear objective: to promote the presence and role of women and girls in science and technology. UNESCO considers gender equality to be a global priority, recognizing that supporting and encouraging young girls in their training, and in the expression of their ideas, are crucial levers for development and peace.

Despite the essential contribution of STEM fields to national economies, gender equality in these sectors remains an unmet goal in most countries, regardless of their level of development. International Women in Science and IT Day thus serves as a reminder of the crucial importance of women in the scientific and technological communities, and underlines the need to strengthen their participation.

At Multios, we want to play an active part in bridging these disparities and promoting equity within our team and beyond.

Multios' commitment to the evolution of fairness

At MultiosGender equality is not just a goal, it's a concrete reality within our team, and we're proud to share our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

👉🏻 Currently, 40% from our team is made up of women, demonstrating our commitment to creating an environment where every individual, regardless of gender, can flourish. We are particularly pleased to note that 60% from our executive board are women, a figure that far exceeds the average for our sector. This reflects our ongoing commitment to creating equal opportunities for women in leadership positions, exceeding established norms.

What's more, with the imminent arrival of a new member to our team, we're confident that the percentage of women on our team will continue to rise, further strengthening our commitment to diversity and equity.

🌏 We are also proud to have a team made up of members from 6 different geographical backgrounds. This diversity enriches our perspectives and contributes to optimal performance strengthening our ability to meet the complex challenges of the STEM sector. Our intrinsic values and communication are deeply rooted in our diversity of genders and cultures

Why do we insist on the crucial role of women in IT?

For us, it's fundamental to demonstrate that women have their full place in STEM. Our aim is not to become an exclusively female company, but rather to provide equitable opportunities for women who wish to excel, whether as developers or in other professions within our structure. We are against the archaic visions that persist in some sectors despite the shortage of talent. Our aim is not only to promote the presence of women in IT, but also to contribute to changing the perception of women in all professions. We are involved in concrete actions such as promoting female entrepreneurship within the education system, or taking part in an expert group within theInfopole

We're gearing up for significant growth over the coming months, with future commitments particularly in programming positions, and we aspire to encourage more women into these roles. At Multios, recruitment and career development are based exclusively on skills and soft skills.

And what initiatives have you taken within your company to combat these disparities?

Your opinions and feedback are invaluable!

Together, by sharing our ideas, we can progress faster and achieve more 🚀.
